Kerry Asked Ecuador to Prevent Assange From Releasing Clinton Docs - WikiLeaks
Earlier it was reported that US Secretary of State John Kerry asked Ecuador to stop WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange from releasing documents related to US Presidential Nominee Hillary Clinton. On Monday, WikiLeaks indicated that Julian Assange's internet link had been "intentionally severed by a state party" as part of an apparent effort to prevent the transparency organization from releasing emails related to the campaign of Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton.

Later, Ecuador confirmed suspicions that it "temporarily restricted" the internet access of Assange.

Assange has been residing in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London since 2012 to not be extradited to Sweden, where he was accused of rape after WikiLeaks begun to release documents in its possession.
