WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — A phone conversation on Wednesday between US Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov does not signal renewed bilateral cooperation between Washington and Moscow on the situation in Syria, Department of State spokesman Mark Toner said at a briefing.
"That’s not at all true," Toner said when asked if the two officials discussed bilateral cooperation. "They did talk about Syria, briefly — the situation the ground."
