The United States still has not agreed to make its agreement with Russia on the ceasefire in Syria public, therefore Moscow will not disclose it either, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Tuesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) –  Moscow insists on disclosing the documents to the public in order to prevent speculations and misinterpretations. The US has not yet decided whether to publish the text of the agreement or not.

"As we do not have the consent of our US colleagues to publish, to make the agreements public, I would not like to be the one to begin to disclose it," Peskov said.

Putin Reveals Why US is Against Making Deal With Russia on Syria Public
On Friday, a UN Security Council meeting on Syria was expected but Russia decided to cancel it due to Washington’s unwillingness to make the deal public.

After the US-led coalition attacked the Syrian army in Deir ez-Zor, Russian UN Envoy Vitaly Churkin made public to reporters some provisions from the Moscow-Washington agreement on Syria. He also cited parts of a document agreed between Washington and Moscow in July.
