WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Kerry’s remarks followed a Syrian army statement declaring the ceasefire was over amid numerous violations by militant groups.
"The basic ceasefire is holding, but fragile, obviously," Kerry told reporters. "Humanitarian assistance is moving today to some eight different locations, but we’re waiting to get the full download from our team that is meeting now with the Russians in Geneva."
Earlier Monday, the United Nations’ Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported that an interagency aid convoy crossed the conflict line in the Big Orem area of the Syrian city of Aleppo.
Kerry had previously told reporters that Washington would be happy to have a conversation with the Syrian military about how to proceed with the deal.
