This is Who Benefits From Russia-US Agreement on Syria
TEHRAN (Sputnik) – Tehran welcomes an agreement on Syrian ceasefire reached by Russia and the United States, Bahram Qasemi said.

On Friday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry announced a new plan aimed at reducing violence in Syria, which includes a new nationwide ceasefire starting on September 12.

"Iran welcomes the ceasefire agreement, which will help deliver aid to Syrians," Bahram Qasemi stated.

He added that taking into account the "past experience" the ceasefire should receive guarantees from its participants and not become "an opportunity for transfering militants or sending weapons to terrorists."

Qasemi stressed that the fight against terrorism should continue amid the ceasefire.
