MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and US President Barack Obama had a conversation at the ceremonial reception organized for top politicians taking part in the East Asia Summit, Russian Prime Minister’s spokeswoman Natalya Timakova said on Wednesday.
"The communication took place during the reception," she told RIA Novosti.
Earlier on Wednesday, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Prihodko said that there was no meeting scheduled between Medvedev and Obama in Laos, but they might meet nevertheless.
East Asia Summit kicked off in Laos on Tuesday and will last through Thursday.
