The issue of the Group of Twenty (G20) states’ participation in the resolution of the global migrant crisis has caused controversy at the G20 summit in China’s Hangzhou, a source in Russia’s delegation to the summit told RIA Novosti.

HANGZHOU (Sputnik) – According to the source, the migration crisis has become one of the contentious issues in the discussion of the draft G20 communique that it set to be adopted later in the day.

"The arguments concerned refugees. Turkey and Europe believe that other countries also have to recognize the problem and do something to resolve it," the source said.

Controversial topics also included climate, excess capacity and the right to territorial property, according to the source.
