Russian Gov't Will Try to Meet 2016 Budget Deficit Target of 3.3% of GDP

Russia will strive to meet the 2016 budget deficit target of 3.3 percent of the GDP, Economic Development Minister Alexei Ulyukayev said on Saturday.

VLADIVOSTOK (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin told Bloomberg earlier this week that the Russian budget deficit will stand at around 3 percent in 2016.

"We will try to meet the 3.3 percent [target]," Ulyukayev said, asked whether the budget deficit in 2016 will be closer to 3 or 4 percent.
