VLADIVOSTOK (Sputnik) — Abe presented a bilateral economic plan during his Sochi visit. The plan covers such areas as oil and gas development and the modernization of ports and airports in the Far East.

"We have restarted work on the foreign ministers' level. We are carefully examining your proposals, which you brought forward during the Sochi visit," Putin told Abe during the meeting on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).

He added that he held a meeting with the representatives of the Japanese business working in Russia, including Far East.

"It is very important to boost the bilateral contacts on the political level," the president said.
