France’s National Front (FN) party leader Marine Le Pen has compared herself to US presidential candidate Donald Trump, warning that the Republican’s rival, Hillary Clinton, would bring world instability.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – A new NBC News/Survey Monkey poll revealed on Tuesday that Clinton still holds a six point lead over Trump nationally.

"For France, anything is better than Hillary Clinton. Anything but Hillary Clinton. Because I think Hillary Clinton means war. Hillary Clinton means devastation. It means world instability," Le Pen told CNN on Wednesday.

She pointed out her similarities with Trump, highlighting the Republican candidate’s independent decision-making.

"We are similar because we are not part of the establishment, we are not part of the system, and we do not depend on anybody and we don't take orders from anyone," Le Pen said.

In May, Le Pen called Clinton the most "dangerous" candidate, warning that the world would be "plunged into chaos" if Hillary is elected US president in November.
