Clinton Cancels Campaign Event With Biden Due to Dallas Shooting

The Democratic Party’s presumptive presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, has canceled her scheduled campaign appearance on Friday with US Vice President Joe Biden because of the deadly shooting of police officers in Dallas, Texas, Clinton’s campaign statement said.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Clinton and Biden were scheduled to campaign together in Scranton, Pennsylvania.

"Due to the tragic events in Dallas, the July 8 Hillary for America campaign event with Vice President Biden will be postponed," the statement said on Friday.

Five Dallas police officers were shot and killed at a protest in the city that took place following the death of two black men who were killed by police in separate incidents in Louisiana and Minnesota.
