MOSCOW (Sputnik) — UK Energy Minister Andrea Leadsom announced Thursday that she was putting her name forward to become the next Conservative Party's leader.
On June 23, the United Kingdom held a referendum on its membership in the EU. The following day, it was announced that 51.9 percent of people supported the move to leave the bloc. Cameron, a staunch supporter of the country retaining its EU membership, announced he would be resigning by October.
