NEW DELHI (Sputnik) — India and Pakistan are expected to sign preliminary membership memorandum at the SCO summit in Tashkent on June 23-24 and will become full-fledged members at the 2017 SCO summit in Kazakhstan.

Cooperation with Central Asia is of great importance for India, he added.
The SCO is a political, economic and military alliance that includes Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
