Juncker: EU-Russia Ties Not Broken Beyond Repair, Must Be Mended
ST. PETERSBURG (Sputnik) — Juncker arrived in Russia to participate in the discussions at the 2016 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) despite some EU and US officials opposing his participation in the forum.

"We are going to talk to Jean-Claude Juncker today. The president, I hope, will suggest to him that we carry out a joint assessment. Take a look at each sectoral dialogue, on whether we need it or not," Lavrov said at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

SPIEF started at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre in St. Petersburg earlier on Thursday. The forum is taking place on June 16-18.
