    Xi Jinping Hopes New Deals Will Be Reached During Putin's Visit to China

    Beijing hopes that new agreements will be reached with Russia during President Vladimir Putin’s upcoming visit, Chinese leader Xi Jinping said Thursday.

    BEIJING (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit China in June.

    “Russian President Putin’s upcoming visit to China is a large event in bilateral relations and I give great attention to this,” Xi told Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in the county’s capital.

    “I hope that during this visit we’ll be able to work out with Vladimir Putin new plans for the future development of Russian-Chinese relations and reach new agreements,” Xi said.
