MOSCOW (Sputnik) – A Russian Parliament committee held a meeting with the British Parliament’s House of Commons committee on security to discuss the situation in Syria and Ukraine, the Russian State Duma committee announced Tuesday.
“The Russian parliamentarians discussed key issues on the agenda of the situation in Syria and Ukraine with their British colleagues, as well as Russia’s increased activity in the Arctic. The parties noted the need to create a united international front in the fight against the Islamic State, which is prohibited in Russia,” the committee said in a release.
