Israel's actions in the disputed Golan Heights prove its links to Daesh and al-Nusra Front groups.

GENEVA (Sputnik) — Israel's actions in the disputed Golan Heights prove its links to Daesh and al-Nusra Front groups (banned in Russia), head of the Syrian government delegation at the Geneva talks Bashar Jaafari said Monday, strongly criticizing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the matter.

"We discussed the grave irresponsible and provocative actions of Netanyahu, calling for a meeting on the occupied Golan Heights," Jaafari said following a meeting with UN's Syria envoy Staffan de Mistura.

"The Syrian government reacted to this provocation by sending letters to the UN Security Council, asking to react and make sure that no such meetings are held in the occupied Golan Heights," he added.
