    Mistura Promised Moscow-Cairo Opposition to Push for Direct Talks in April

    Moscow-Cairo opposition group has asked UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan De Mistura to push for direct talks during April round of Intra-Syrian negotiations, and he "promised to help," Qadri Jamil, one of the leaders of Moscow-Cairo opposition group, told Sputnik.

    GENEVA (Sputnik) — He added that he meant direct talks with the participation of the Syrian opposition's High Negotiations Committee (HNC), Moscow-Cairo and Damascus delegation.

    "We asked him [de Mistura]. He promised to help. We will take practical steps in this direction ourselves," Jamil said asked whether he expected direct talks at this round.
