MOSCOW (Sputnik) — UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura is expected to arrive in Tehran on Sunday evening or Monday morning, a representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry's department for public relations told Sputnik Saturday.
De Mistura said earlier that he planned to visit Damascus and Tehran, as well as, possibly, Amman and Beirut before April 13, ahead of the start of a new round of intra-Syrian talks.
"The time of the visit is not precisely defined, but we expect that he will arrive in Tehran on Sunday evening or Monday morning," the source said.
The next round of intra-Syrian talks is scheduled to start in Geneva on April 11.
