MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Thursday, UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura has defined 12 points on which the parties to the talks in Geneva can agree and submitted the draft document to the parties for approval.
Besides the government representatives, three opposition delegations were taking part in the negotiations: the High Negotiations Committee (HNC), which was formed in Saudi Arabia in December, a delegation formed following talks in Moscow and Cairo and a group formed after opposition talks at the Hmeymim air base in Syria.
"They called me and I told them: come to Moscow if you want, and if something urgent comes up, feel free to contact Borodavkin [Russia’s envoy to the UN office in Geneva]," Bogdanov said.
The next round of talks between the Syrian government and several opposition delegations is expected in April.
