MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The progress in US-Russia relations is in the interests of both countries as well as history and the future, US State Secretary John Kerry said.

"Sergey Lavrov and I talk almost every week, regularly, and we are working effectively even with differences to try to find a path forward," Kerry said in an interview with Rossiya 24 television during his visit to Moscow.

"I think that’s in the interests of the American people and the Russian people. It’s in the interests of history and the future," Kerry stressed.
