MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian and Iraqi authorities are planning mutual high-level visits in 2016 and the dates are currently being coordinated, Russia's Ambassador to Iraq Ilya Morgunov said.
"High-level visits are planned for 2016. The first took place on February 10-11, when Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin visited Baghdad… The dates for further visits are being coordinated," Morgunov told RIA Novosti.
In February, Rogozin led a delegation of around 100 Russian officials, economic, military and investment experts on a visit to Baghdad.
The sides signed a roadmap toward developing cross-sector relations, including in transportation, healthcare and civil aviation.
