    Russia-Jordan Inter-Governmental Commission to Hold Meeting on March 21

    The third meeting of the Russia-Jordan inter-governmental commission on development of economic and scientific and technical cooperation will start on March 21 in Amman, the Russian Agriculture Ministry said.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Russian Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev, the ministry told RIA Novosti.

    "During the visit, meetings with Jordan’s King Abdullah II, Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour and Agriculture Minister Akef Zu'bi have been requested," the ministry added.

    The Russian official statistics reports that the Russia-Jordan trade amounted to nearly $269 million in 2015, which almost decreased twice in comparison with 2014.

    According to the Russian Agriculture Ministry, the work of experts will be held on March 21-22 and the plenary meeting will take place on March 23.
