Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US State Secretary John Kerry will discuss the issues of the Syrian ceasefire regime implementation and the humanitarian situation in the country during their meeting in Moscow, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said Thursday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Last month, Russia and the United States reached an agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Syria, which took effect on February 27. The truce excluded the terrorist groups Daesh and the Nusra Front, both of which are outlawed in Russia.

The Syrian government has confirmed its readiness to halt its military actions in accordance with the Russia-US agreement. Some opposition forces have been skeptical about the ceasefire, but in general have agreed to adhere to it.

"I think these issues will be discussed at the meeting between Lavrov and Kerry in the framework of the consultations between the two co-chairs of the International Syria Support Group," Bogdanov told RIA Novosti.
