GENEVA (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered earlier on Monday the withdrawal of the bulk of the Russian military contingent in Syria after the success of the anti-terrorist air campaign in the war-torn country.
"I think that it [Russia's move] is changing a lot. There will not be a military operation…But in he context of the aviation it is bad for the [Syrian] regime, which is left without an important air support. But it is important to know, wheteher Russia continues to fight against the IS[Daesh, which is outlawed in Russia]," Basma Kodmani told reporters on Monday.
