Russia’s Air Group Pullout From Syria to Launch Political Peace Process

Russia’s decision to withdraw its Aerospace Forces from Syria would pave the way for the political settlement of the deep crisis in the country, a member of the Syrian opposition delegation formed after meetings in Moscow and Cairo, Qadri Jamil, said Monday.

GENEVA (Sputnik) – Moscow's move will also lay key responsibility for the peace process on the Syrians so that they continue their fight against terrorists, making every effort to succeed in the political negotiations, Jamil outlined.

"Russian troops have carried out the main task. This decision will open the doors for a political conflict resolution," Jamil, who is also one of the leaders of the Syrian Popular Front for Change and Liberation, told RIA Novosti.

This decision proves that Russia has fulfilled its promise, saying from the very beginning that the campaign in Syria will be a temporary action, he noted.
