DAMASCUS (Sputnik) — The upcoming parliamentary elections in Syria will not affect intra-Syrian talks in Geneva as the government vows to comply with all the agreements reached, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem said Saturday.
"Parliamentary elections have no impact on talks in Geneva. We will comply with all the agreements that will be reached in Geneva," the foreign minister told journalists.
Syrian President Bashar Assad ordered to hold the parliamentary election in the country on April 13.
