MOSCOW (Sputnik) – It comes just hours after US Secretary of State John Kerry said that representatives of Russia and the United States would hold consultations on the situation in Syria in Amman, the capital of Jordan, as well as in Geneva later on Saturday.
“The dialogue with the Americans on the ceasefire did not see any disruptions. Meetings and information exchanges take place on a regular basis,” the source said.
In February, Russia and the United States reached an agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Syria.
The ceasefire took effect on February 27. The agreement does not apply to groups operating in Syria that are designated as terrorist organizations by the United Nations, including Daesh and al-Nusra Front.
