Planned Syria Support Group Meeting Postponed - Russian Foreign Ministry
MADRID (Sputnik) — Russian top diplomat Sergei Lavrov invited Spain to join the ISSG in a letter to his Spanish counterpart Jose Manuel Garcia-Margallo on Thursday, noting the efforts Madrid put into Syrian peace process.

"Spain has accepted this offer," the Spanish Foreign Ministry told RIA Novosti.

On February 22, Russia and the United States reached an agreement on a ceasefire in Syria. The ceasefire came into force on February 27. It does not apply to Daesh or al-Nusra Front, which are outlawed in a number of countries worldwide including Russia and the United States.
