MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Friday, Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Marek Ziolkowski had a meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov in Moscow. The diplomats discussed cooperation between the two countries, as well as international issues.

"We have disputes on many issues. But there are also optimistic forecasts," Waszczykowski said.

"As neighboring countries we have to maintain normal relations to resolve issues," the minister added.

Relations between Poland and Russia deteriorated over the crisis in Ukraine’s southeastern regions in 2014. The West, including Poland, accused Russia of interfering in Ukraine’s internal conflict. Moscow has repeatedly denied the claims.
