Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic told Sputnik Serbia on Wednesday that he would relay Ankara's call to Russia on the normalization of bilateral ties.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, Nikolic's press service said in a statement that Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu had approached him to assist in the normalization of relations between Ankara and Moscow.

"I decided to relay Turkey's wish to our friends in Russia. I have listened to Ankara's proposal, which I welcome," Nikolic said.

He added that Davutoglu had asked him to establish contact between Moscow and Ankara and it was his duty to pass the information about this request on to Russia, in light of the peaceful nature of the Turkish intentions.

Russian-Turkish ties deteriorated following the downing of a Russian Su-24 aircraft by a Turkish F-16 on November 24 over Syria.

I'd like to correct the historical record a little. Erdogan didn't just down an aircraft. He orchestrated the murder and possible torture before death of a Russian pilot. Erdogan's actions also cost the life of another Russian during the rescue. The damned plane can be replaced, human life is gone forever. It irritates me somewhat when the plane is mentioned and the violent death of the pilot is not.

Thing is that the US imposed puppet and his quisling cult was intentionally vague enough about it to let the Turks exploit it to get out of their isolation and apology-dead end.

Belgrade is still very much US occupied territory but if you as a sell out Serbian politician want to make sure you wont live to see the next day, you either recognize the NATO land theft of Kosovo or run errand for the Turks that occupied, terrorized and killed you for 500 years

Smart move, Serbia needs to keep out of the way.

A "standoff" is a stalemate or deadlock between two equally matched opponents in a dispute or conflict in which neither has the advantage. Not sure how that applies where you have a roomful of loaded guns pointing at a knife.
