The politician said in an interview with "Bild am Sonntag" that German Chancellor Angela Merkel reminded him of one of the main characters of the "Star Wars" saga, Princess Leia.
He noted that the German leader "is not just a princess, but also a general."
Tauber also compared Merkel with another character of the movies, saying that one can learn much the current Chancellor of Germany, like Jedi Master, has much to learn from.
"She's very shrewd, she does not allow herself to lose calm and accepts things that she cannot change," he said during the interview.
Angela Merkel has recently been strongly criticized in Germany and abroad — primarily because of the inability to resolve the current refugee crisis.
"Star Wars" is an epic fiction saga, which includes movies, animated series, books, comics and video games. The first film was released on May 25, 1977 and was a huge success.
