WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The United States is partly accountable for failing to move quickly enough in Libya and underestimating what was required to rebuild the country’s government, US President Barack Obama said on Friday.

"The United States has some accountability for not moving swiftly enough and underestimating the need to rebuild government there [in Libya] quickly," Obama said. "As a consequence, you now have a very bad situation."
