MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia's plan for settling the Syrian crisis coincides with the United States' plan on key issues, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday.
"It pretty much coincides on key points with the American one, proposed by the United States, as strange as this may seem… joint work on the constitution, the creation of tools to monitor future early elections, the elections themselves and the acknowledgment of their results," Putin told reporters at his annual press conference.
The president also noted that Moscow would strive for all decisions regarding Syria to please all sides of the conflict.
