A mutual readiness for joint constructive work to develop the comprehensive strategic partnership was underlined during the phone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Argentina's newly elected President Mauricio Macri, according to the Kremlin press service.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin and Argentina's newly elected President Mauricio Macri held a phone talk, expressing their readiness to continue work on developing their countries' strategic partnership, the Kremlin press service said Wednesday.

"A mutual readiness for joint constructive work to develop the comprehensive strategic partnership was underlined," the press service said in a statement.

The leaders also noted the importance of implementing bilateral projects within trade and economy, and agreed to continue talks on establishing cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union and the Mercosur bloc.
