WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – US Secretary of State John Kerry announced on Wednesday that he is planning to discuss the ongoing conflict in Syria and the situation in Ukraine during meetings with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow next week.
“I’m, I think, traveling to Moscow in a week and will be meeting with him [Putin] and with Foreign Minister Lavrov on the subject of Syria and on Ukraine,” Kerry said in Paris.
The US state secretary visited Russia last time in May. During his meetings with Putin and Lavrov, Kerry discussed the Ukrainian conflict and Western anti-Russia sanctions among other issues.
