EU MP Calls on West to Consider Russia's Anti-Terror Coalition Plan
"Of course, Russia, should be included more and more to [NATO] procedures. EU and NATO have a great opportunity to recognize the status of Russia and engage with her in the global arena, as a partner who will share not only the responsibility of the world security but also the responsibility for the development of a unified area of prosperity, sustainable development and cultural unity, as the common interests we have are of much greater importance than any differences that might occur," Kaili said.

She also urged Moscow not to consider the alliance's expansion as part of a hostile policy. "On the contrary, it is beneficial for the international well being and security of states, to establish a global defense mechanism, and NATO remains a very good structure."
