The Russian lower house speaker said the attack was carried out "in the most despicable, cowardly and insidious way," and it was a planned murder and assistance to international terrorism.

ST. PETERSBURG, November 26 (Sputnik) — Relations between Russian and Turkish parliaments are likely to remain unfriendly for a long time after the downing of the Su-24 bomber, Russian lower house speaker Sergei Naryshkin said Thursday.

"I do not know when the old confidence and friendly atmosphere will return to our inter-parliamentary relations," Naryshkin said addressing the eighth Collective Security Treaty Organization Parliamentary Assembly.

On Tuesday, a Russian Su-24 combat aircraft crashed in Syria while carrying out precision strikes against terrorists. It was downed by an air-to-air missile, fired from a Turkish F-16 fighter in response to alleged violation of Turkish airspace.

Naryshkin stressed that the attack was carried out "in the most despicable, cowardly and insidious way," adding that it was a planned murder and assistance to international terrorism.
