According to Russia's Development of the Russian Far East Ministry, Moscow and Beijing plan to sign an agreement on an extension of the transport corridors between the two countries.

VLADIVOSTOK (Sputnik) — An agreement on the development of transport corridors between the Chinese north-eastern provinces and Russia's Far East is expected to be signed in December, Russian Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East Alexander Galushka said Monday.

"Last week, I held talks with the directorate of the Reform Commission of the People's Republic of China, during which we agreed to sign an agreement <…> on an extension of the transport corridors, connecting China's Northeast and the Russian Far East ports, primarily Primorye," Galushka said during a working meeting.

The agreement is expected to be signed in December 2015 during a visit by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to China, Galushka added.

The development of international transport corridors, called Primorye-1 and Primorye-2, is expected to encourage trade and investment in Russia's Far East, as the improved transportation infrastructure will significantly increase cargo transit from China to ports in the Russian city of Vladivostok.
