MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said Thursday he would travel to Syria in the upcoming weeks or months to participate in a session of the Russian-Syrian intergovernmental commission.
"The trip was moved because the Syrian president came himself to meet with our president… I think that in the upcoming months, or maybe even weeks, this trip will take place," Rogozin told Rossiya-24 television.
He added that the main purpose of the visit would be participation in a meeting of the intergovernmental commission, which will focus primarily on economic issues.
