    Lavrov, Kerry Agree to Further Consolidate Counterterrorism Efforts

    Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry discussed the consolidation of counterterrorism efforts in a phone conversation on Wednesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the ministry, the sides agreed to discuss the issues during the next international Vienna meeting.

    "Minister [Lavrov] and State Secretary [Kerry] continued talks on possibilities of international support in the intra-Syrian process, including assistance in forming a united opposition delegation to speed up a nationwide political dialogue and consolidate positions in the fight against terrorism," the ministry said in a statement.
