The sides of the international meeting on the Syrian crisis in Vienna agreed that the transitional council in Syria should be created within 4-6 months, according to Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Jubeir.

MANAMA (Sputnik) — Participants of the international meeting on the Syrian crisis in Vienna reached an agreement to create the national transitional council that would include all sides of the Syrian society, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Jubeir said during a forum in Manama.

Jubeir said that the sides agreed that the transitional council in Syria should be created within 4-6 months. This council is expected to create new Syrian constitution and prepare national elections.

He added that the next meeting of the international negotiators on Syria would touch upon the issue of political future of country's president Bashar Assad.
