MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry discussed in a phone conversation the prospects of a political settlement in Syria with the participation of the Syrian authorities and patriotic opposition groups, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
"The heads of the foreign ministries continued to discuss the prospects of a political settlement in Syria with the participation of the authorities and the patriotic opposition, with the support of this process by the international community, including leading regional states," the statement read.
