Snap Parliamentary Elections Kick Off in Greece
ATHENS (Sputnik) — Greek left-wing party Syriza has gained 32 percent of votes, running ahead its nearest rival conservative New Democracy party that was backed by 29.6 percent of the voters at the national snap elections, the first exit polls data showed Sunday.

The far-right Golden Dawn Party ranked third with 6.8 percent, followed by the Greek Communist Party (KKE) that secured 6.5 percent.

Socialist PASOK gained 6.2 percent of votes and pro-European POTAMI (The River) — 4.8 percent, according to the current exit poll.
