It has also involved meddling in the domestic policy of Venezuela, including sanctions against Nicholas Maduro’s government.

"The US policy is based on tricks and catches," the author claimed. "First of all, it involves the energy boycott to drop global oil prices which has damaged the economies of Russia, Brazil, Ecuador, Bolivia and all OPEC countries."

However, the decline in oil price also affected the US economy. Then Washington tried to ruin the Chinese economy and undermine China’s positions in Latin America and the Caribbean but it failed, according to the article.

"Now the US is trying to impose its unipolar vision of the world which is effectively challenged by the rise of various supranational institutions, including BRICS, ALBA, UNASUR etc.," according to the author.

The economic war declared by the US against Venezuela failed to spark mass protests in Venezuela which were orchestrated by the US Embassy in Caracas, the article read.

The author blamed Washington for persistent efforts to use various armed groups to undermine stability in the country.

Nevertheless, he expressed hope that Maduro’s government would unite the people of Venezuela and protect the country’s sovereignty.
