DUSHANBE (Sputnik) — The CSTO members comprise Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Russia. The leaders and senior officials from these countries attended a CSTO summit in the Tajik Capital of Dushanbe on Tuesday.
Later in the day, the 70th session of the UN General Assembly is set to open at the UN Headquarters in New York. The diplomats are expected to consider a broad range of burning issues, including human rights' development, disarmament, global terrorist threats, and the elimination of racism.
"At the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, a series of joint [CSTO] statements are planned to be made on the subject of preventing the deployment of weapons in outer space, on measures to combat international terrorism and a number of other issues,' the source told RIA Novosti.
