Vladimir Putin and Pope Francis are unlikely to meet at the UN General Assembly.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin so far does not have a meeting with Pope Francis on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.

“There’s always a time shortage at the General Assembly, but right now there isn’t a concrete meeting scheduled,” Peskov told journalists.

Peskov said that there are different variations of meeting currently being planned.
