The United States supports Ukraine’s political and economic efforts to eliminate corruption and reform the energy sector, US Secretary of State John Kerry said in a press release on Friday.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Kerry also applauded Ukraine for trying to fix the country’s financial system and enhance the business climate.

“America is particularly supportive of Ukraine’s firm commitment to internal reform,” Kerry said, specifically pointing to Kiev’s efforts “to root out corruption, reform the judicial and energy sectors.”

The United States will work with Kiev, he added, in seeking an end to the conflict and bloodshed in Ukraine through the full implementation of the Minsk Protocols.
