Iran, P5+1 Strike Nuclear Deal: Agreement in Details
Last week, Iran and the P5+1 group of international negotiators — Russia, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Germany – agreed to lift sanctions on Iran in exchange for a verification regime to ensure Tehran did not develop nuclear weapons.

On Monday, the UN Security Council voted unanimously to adopt UN Resolution 2231 in support of the JCPOA. Ahead of the UN Security Council vote, the P5+1 group of countries said that the resolution would not go into effect for 90 days, giving the US Congress time to review the deal.
