VIENNA (Sputnik) — A comprehensive deal on the Iranian nuclear program is not ready yet, a senior source in one of the western delegations told Sputnik on Saturday, stressing there is no reason to wait any longer.

"[The deal] Not ready but not so far. No reason to wait much longer," the source said when asked whether the deal could be ready by June 12.

Iran and six world powers — China, France, Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany — are attempting to reach a long-term deal that would ensure the peaceful nature of Tehran's nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief. The initial deadline for the agreement was June 30, but the sides have postponed to July 13.
